Artist bio
David Abraham is a Toronto-based artist and production designer whose work spans public art, immersive installations, and experiential environments.
With a background rooted in both traditional craftsmanship and digital fabrication, he brings a multidisciplinary approach to projects that range from sculptural artworks to large-scale brand activations.
Working across studios, agencies, and independent commissions, David has led the design and production of interactive installations for festivals, public spaces, and cultural experiences. His work is defined by a balance of technical precision and creative exploration, often translating complex ideas into tangible, engaging forms.

Artist philosophy
At the core of David’s practice is a commitment to storytelling through form. His work explores how character, material, and interaction can transform public space into something unexpected and alive.
Drawing inspiration from everyday environments, subcultures, and the humour found in shared experience, he creates pieces that invite curiosity and participation. Whether through large-scale installations or intimate sculptural details, his work aims to create moments of connection—between people, place, and story.
Blurring the line between art and experience, David approaches each project as an opportunity to build something that is not only visually compelling, but emotionally resonant and physically engaging.
PRocess
Each project begins with an idea and evolves through an iterative, hands-on process that bridges concept, design, and fabrication.

Concept
Each project begins with a narrative idea, developed through sketching and visual exploration. Early concepts focus on form, character, and how the piece will be experienced in space.

Development
Ideas are refined through digital modelling, prototyping, and material testing. This phase bridges creativity with feasibility, resolving structure, scale, and technical integration.

Fabrication
The final phase brings the work to life through hands-on making. Combining traditional craftsmanship with digital tools, each piece is built with attention to detail, durability, and real-world interaction.
